Biography

Lauren has a passion for women’s rights and exploring how we can acknowledge and break down the barriers that women face in the workplace, choosing to focus her undergraduate dissertation on how women gained entry to the legal profession in the twentieth century and the obstacles they had to overcome.

While she’s completing her MA Law qualification at BPP University, Lauren used her ever-deepening knowledge of the law and women’s rights to volunteer on an employment law helpline. Here she supported Londoners facing various employment issues such as discrimination or harassment.

Lauren reached out to Cole Khan at first as a legal intern. Being able to assist on cases where the firm has supported clients through some of their toughest experiences, including sexual harassment and disability and race discrimination, inspired her to continue with Cole Khan as a paralegal.

Lauren’s begun to shape the firm’s blog and social media presence, with the goal of using them to encourage people who have experienced issues at work to come forward and seek help. She hopes these tools will also positively impact employers, reminding them of their duties to their employees and guiding them to cultivate positive working environments.
