We believe.
The law should be used to protect you in the workplace. Not to victimise you. It’s your right to work unhindered by the biased, prejudiced views of others.
We have challenged the highest powers to achieve justice for our clients. Where others may give up, we step up, roll up our sleeves and get forensic about each case. In doing so we’ve achieved the extraordinary.
We started at Bindmans LLP in 2009 within a week of each other. Shazia came from a background of working with trailblazing lawyers Louise Christian, Michael Fisher and Sadiq Khan. Emilie trained and specialised in human rights work, where her passion for equality in employment flourished.
These separate, but analogous experiences cemented in both of us a desire to champion the rights of individuals. Our combined passion made us into a formidable team, and a force to be reckoned with.
Our reputation as a powerhouse saw us headhunted by a top national law firm in 2017, to set up a new London Senior Executive & Professional Discipline team. Our ability to find solutions in the most complex, challenging disputes led us to be instructed in numerous leading, high-profile litigation cases.
But we wanted to do more. We wanted to create something unique, and gain the freedom to dedicate more time to the people at the heart of our cases. To devote the one-on-one attention which we feel is so important when handling sensitive, stressful workplace situations.
And so Cole Khan was born.
It’s our mission to empower every person who’s facing injustice in the workplace. We will be their voice when they don’t have the power to speak for themselves. We will stand with them and fight for their right to feel fulfilled in their career. For their right to be their true authentic self without the fear of victimisation.
In doing so, we hope we can inspire the next generation of trailblazing lawyers to fight for what’s right.
