Biography
Frances’ fervent belief in protecting those facing discrimination came to the fore as Sabbatical Officer and Student Representative for the University of Essex’s Students’ Union. Here she successfully advocated for the advancement of student rights and assisted in tackling important social issues on race and equality of access.
In this role, Frances played an instrumental part in the removal of policies that indirectly discriminated against black students in social spaces and campaigned for affordable fees for students to participate in sports.
Frances completed her LPC part-time at BPP University, having secured the Law Society’s ‘Diversity Access Scheme’ Scholarship in 2021, and now strives to fight injustice and champion equality for employees.
She has experience of handling Protective Award work on complex multi-claimant Employment Tribunal claims and has supported clients on education, family and personal injury matters.
She played a particular role in drafting Cole Khan’s successful application to become a preferred provider of legal services for the Equality and Human Rights Commission.
Frances regularly writes articles detailing her experiences and thoughts about progressing the equality and diversity agenda.
Frances secured a Training Contract with Cole Khan in November 2023. She is very proud to be the firm’s first Trainee.
